Ruin and Rising tote!!! (Thank you, Fierce Fiction!)

Guys, I went for my usual bookstore run yesterday and didn’t make a single purchase even though I could have. The new releases I’ve been wanting to check out were not available at my local bookstore, unfortunately. Thankfully enough, some awesome books came in the mail this week!

My TBD orders finally arrived after 343489238 days of waiting! I’m totally digging into Wish You Were Italian right now! I also finally have my copy of Ruin and Rising which I preordered long ago so I also received a totebag! I also got Behind The Scenes and I’m so glad that I won a copy (because it wasn’t available at my local) from last month’s BTS Twitter Party! Nikki also kindly gifted me some books on my wish list, in exchange for the coding work I did for The Paper Sea! Nikki was one of the first to avail the “pay in books” option for my design shop so I was excited about her package since it’s one of the early fruits of my small business. Just wanted to shout out a huge thank you to her for all the support she’s shown for my design shop! ♡

Speaking of support, *segues* help a bookworm out by voting for me on The Big Blog Exchange!

Anyhow, what are you guys reading this weekend? Got any awesome books recently?

  1. Awesome haul, Hazel! I really enjoyed Behind the Scenes, I thought it was completely fun and exhilarating. AND YOU GOT THE GRISHA BOOKS. I’d say good luck when you read them. ;)

    1. Thanks, Miguel! So glad to hear you enjoyed BTS! I’ve been so very excited to read it ever since I heard about it, really. YESSS MY GRISHA COLLECTION IS COMPLETE! Very excited to finally read Siege and Storm- I so loved Shadow and Bone! :D

  2. That haul looks so pretty <3 I could stare at all day. Haha :D

Its so awesome that you had your design shop! :D I want to do that someday. :D

  3. I’m spazzing over your haul this week, Hazel! Because SERIOUSLY, these are some amazing titles — and I’ve actually read them all. I’m sure, since we’re Twitter friends, you’ve definitely seen/heard me fangirl over the Throne of Glass series, which is AMAZING. But all the other books you’ve got are pretty delightful too! Happy reading!

  4. Those photography skills, though. :D I loved Shadow and Bone and I can’t wait to finish the trilogy! Excitement! That tote bag is so adorable.

  5. I was sent a hardcover copy of The Queen of the Tearling for reasons unknown to me, but yay!! Today I got a thank-you paperback of a book I bought an ecopy of, from the author, plus a second copy for my blogoversary giveaway (she was my first ever interview on my blog). I also received a paperback of Dream Boy which I am hoping to trade for an ARC of Splintered. I have the Unhinged ARC and I am getting the Ensnared ARC, so my bookish OCD is telling me I need all three as ARCs. Lol.

  6. PRETTIES EVERYWHERE!!! I have read Throne of Glass & Shadow and Bone and I badly need to read their sequels! So glad you have them now! Yay for marathon-ing series XD I hope you enjoy your books and the tote bag looks awesome! :D Great haul!

  7. I don’t think I’ve said this, but I love love LOVE all your pictures! They’re so gorgeous and their colors are just right and I can’t even right now. *sobbing at their beauty* And looks like you received some pretty sweet books this week! Can’t wait to see your thoughts on both Siege & Storm and Ruin & Rising — HOPE YOU ENJOY THEM BOTH!

Can I say that I’m a little — kinda — really quite — jealous of that tote bag?! That’s what I get for not having a Tumblr account, I guess. xD

Oh, and Crown of Midnight… Sigh, I have it waiting on my shelf but haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. Everyone seems to love it more than the first book, which is saying something! Fingers crossed we’ll both feel the same way, too. And of course, being able to go to the bookstore without buying anything is a huge achievement. You deserve a cookie. :D

I hope you get win this Blog Exchange thing, Hazel! I’ve voted for you, and I think you totally deserve it. <3 Have a great week, girl!

  8. I’m so glad the books arrived! I hope you enjoy them! :D I loved Siege and Storm and Crown of Midnight. I haven’t read The Assassin’s Blade yet but I’ve heard it hits right in the feels so I keep putting it off, haha!

I’ve been voting for your blog every day I go on the laptop! Good luck, Hazel!
