For The Book Expo America Newbie: A Collection of Helpful Links & BEA Tips

book expo america

Being it my first time attend to Book Expo America this year, I wanted to be prepared. I wanted to make the most out of it and do it right, especially since it’ll only happen for me once in awhile in this lifetime.

So how does one get ready for BEA? You need to know things. In fact, it’d be awesome if you know all the things. With that in mind, I scoured through the many tips and advice for Book Expo America that exists on the internet- at least seventy or so of them. And if you’re a newbie just like me, I’ve linked them all up for you. Here’s the ultimate resource where you can find many, many links to posts that will help you rock BEA!

To my fellow BEA noobs, let’s make our first time amazing, yes? ;)

  1. Wow this is an EPIC list of posts!! :D

That’s exactly what I did my first year—I researched EVERYTHING. I think it’s super helpful to do that. :) You’re going to have an awesome time, Hazel!

  2. You are amazing for making this! It will be my first year at BEA as well, so I’ve been doing the same sorts of Internet searches. Your list is WAY more extensive than mine was though, thanks for sharing!

  3. Aah, this is such a brilliant idea, Hazel, and I hope it really preps you for what will hopefully be a truly wonderful expo- so exciting, it being your first! I’m from Australia and haven’t yet made it to a BEA, though I really, really want to one of these years (I’ll have to plan a whole trip around it, I think), but I’ll be sure to come back to this post whenever I do end up going, because there are so many amazing resources here, and it’s so good to know what to expect, pack and understand what to plan for. So fantastic job, doing this! I hope you’ll post a BEA recap, so we can see how it all went?
Nice to meet you, too! Xx
