Upcoming events

Jenny Han in the Philippines (#JennyHaninPH)

I adore Jenny Han and really cannot wait to meet her! I first read her Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy the summer before my senior year in high school and I just grew attached to it after finishing! I’ve not yet read Jenny’s Burn for Burn series (co-authored with Siobhan Vivian), and I still need copies of the first two books. I have read Jenny’s latext, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and really enjoyed it! (My review should go up this month, so watch out for that one.)

Back to the signin, National Book Store will be bringing Jenny Han for a book signing tour in Manila and Cebu on June 21-22! Here are some of the details from NBS:

#NBSevents Join New York Times bestselling writer Jenny Han, author of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” trilogy, for book signing events on June 21 at 2 pm in National Book Store, Glorietta 1 and on June 22 at 2 pm in National Book Store, SM Cebu.

On replay

I can’t stop listening to Lana Del Rey’s West Coast!!! EAR-FUCKING-GASM. <3 I’ve also been addicted to Parachute’s You and Me. It’s kinda a throwback listen since I already loved it way back, but Morgan Matson’s Since You’ve Been Gone, through Frank’s playlist, has got me even more in love with the song!

Lovely words

“Because sometimes in life, you just have to stand there and do nothing. Overwhelmed by all the versions of ourselves that exist in our minds—who we want to be, who we should be, who we’re not, and who we are—it’s a jungle that can ensnare your feet and confuse your eyes. But sometimes if you stand still, all those things will snap back into place like a rubber band. And if you can get past the sting, you can keep moving, not quite whole, but held together for the moment.” – All Lined Up, Cora Carmack

How was May for you? What are you looking forward to this June?

  1. I cannot wait to see TFIOS too! I hope it won’t be a disappointment. I’ve been reading quite a few book this summer too which is no bueno because I read a lot last year compared to the amount of books I’ve read so far this year. This needs to change! I’ve only read 20 books so far D: Also, advance happy blogoversary! I’m so excited for you. :) My blog is a July baby hehe.

  2. I am SOOO excited for TFIOS too!! I was going to go to the midnight premiere on Thursday but I have an exam on the 6th when it actually comes out so I decided not to go and now it seems like all the theatres have sold out tickets to see it! Which is really sad but I think I might go some time next week instead.

And OH MY GOODNESS, YAY HAPPY EARLY BLOGOVERSARY!! *shimmies with you*

Also, yay for West Coast! I have been in love with that song lately too!

  3. I’ve seen TFIOS (I did a mini review a few weeks ago) and absolutely loved it. I have no doubt that you will, too! You’re so lucky to get to meet Jenny Han. I love her books so much, they’re every special to me, and I her recent release was adorable. Say hi for me.

Just wanted to Congratulate you on your first ever event! It was fun and you should be proud. I’m hosting my first Twitter party this month and I can’t wait. Any advice?

    Happy reading!

  4. Going to BEA? :D I might go to BEA 2015 for my 18th birthday. Hihi my parents promised me, but then I have to do every schedule, all the planning and crap. GAAH! It’s going to be stressful but at least I get to go to BEA. Let me know if you’re attending next year! ;) Lovely post, Hazel.

  5. HAZEL!!! Your month of May was so awesome!! I’m definitely looking forward to reading #scandal, and OMG THE TFIOS MOVIE EEEEP. The box office is going to blow up.. ;) And girl, going to BEA is my life goal too. ALL THE PICTURES. OH LALA my blog is also a June baby! I’m excited to see what you have planned. :) Happy June, Hazel!

  6. I am ridiculously excited for the TFioS movie! I’m also looking forward to a summer of reading, although here in the UK there isn’t much sun at the moment.

  7. I have to wait until June 20th to watch The Fault in Our Stars! The UK is so behind I think I’m just going to curl up in a ball and re read the book unil it comes out. Congrats on your blogoversary!
