Quote Book: Rainbow Rowell

As a part of Shelumiel from Bookish and Awesome‘s week long celebration for the amazing writer that is Rainbow Rowell, I’ll be sharing some quotes from Eleanor & Park today!

Eleanor & Park was the first Rainbow book I read and it was the one that got me smitten with her writing. Fact: I even convinced my mother to read it and she liked it very much. It’s one of the few YA I’ve recommended to her that she enjoyed. Moving on from that segue, here are the quote posters I made for the book:

eleanor and park quote - favorite person

“I want everyone to meet you. You’re my favorite person of all time.”

― Rainbow Rowell, Eleanor & Park

eleanor and park quote - holding eleanors hand

“Holding Eleanor’s hand was like holding a butterfly. Or a heartbeat. Like holding something complete, and completely alive.”

― Rainbow Rowell, Eleanor & Park

I also happen to be guest posting on Shelumiel’s blog today, sharing even more quotes from Rainbow Rowell, this time from her book Fangirl! Here’s one of the quotes I shared:

fangirl quote - read to me sweetheart

So definitely head over to Bookish and Awesome to see the rest of the Fangirl quote posters I made. As usual, I want to thank Creative Market for always providing me amazing resources to use:

Have you read Rainbow Rowell’s books? What’s your favourite quote from her? :)

  1. I’ve read Fangirl before, and I felt like I could really relate to Cath and her love for books and writing. Still, it wasn’t my type of book, and I didn’t like some of the choices Cath made when she met Levi. I just wanted to scream at her that she didn’t have to change so much of herself.

  2. These are so lovely! Eleanor and Park was also the first (and only) book I’ve read by her (so far). I think my favorite quote is

“What are the chances you’d ever meet someone like that? he wondered. Someone you could love forever, someone who would forever love you back? And what did you do when that person was born half a world away? The math seemed impossible.”

“I just can’t believe that life would give us to each other,’ he said, ‘and then take it back.’

“He made her feel like more than the sum of her parts.”

“He’d stopped trying to bring her back. She only came back when she felt like it anyway, in dreams and lies and broken-down déjà vu.”

Er, that was more than one. I love so many quotes in that book.

  3. Fangirl and Attachments are my fave from Ms. Rowell…she knows how to capture your heart in all the right places :) love the quotes. i am saving these to my collection!!!

  4. Nice quotes and design! I love the colors! Number 1 quote design is perfect for a T-shirt. But, I like number 3 most. The book picture attracts my attention. :)

  5. I honestly think the last one is my favourite, not only because i love the quote but I also love the colours and font you used for the design. But they’re all absolutely gorgeous, I love this feature! x

  6. Ugh, these are adorable! You’re so talented, Hazel!

I’ve read all 4 of Rainbow Rowell’s books and love all of them, too. I still can’t decide which one’s my favorite (Eleanor & Park or Attachments?) but I am patiently waiting for her next book. :)

  7. I’ve read all of Rainbow’s books, and I adore them – I don’t care what anyone else thinks about that either. Fangirl’s my favorite, probably because I read it in college, when I was working through my anxiety, and Cath has to do the same in the novel. Also because it’s just great. And fanfiction. (Fun fact: Fangirl actually inspired my senior Capstone thesis!)

I love the Read to me, sweetheart graphic! :)

  8. you chose such beautiful quotes , Hazel! I certainly remember that last quote from Fangirl haha. I still have not yet read E&P but I def. will in the future! I really like the 2nd quote out of all three.
