Katie Cotugno – How To Love
Mindy McGinnis – Not A Drop To Drink
Kiersten White – The Chaos of Stars

Thank you, Harper Collins International!

Miranda Kenneally – Racing Savannah

Thank you, Netgalley and Sourcebooks Fire!

Sorry for the low quality photos, guys! Was a little too lazy to bring out my camera so I took these images using my phone instead. Anyway, my recent haul isn’t much of one, really. The ones I got were merely book mail and although I’m super excited about them, it doesn’t feel quite the same as having a real ‘haul’. I feel like the essence of a book haul is me actually buying books. Is that weird?

I did stop by the bookstore twice though. Would you believe that I actually managed to walk out without purchasing anything? That rarely ever happens! I guess it’s a good thing I’m getting my self-control in check, haha!

I’m really trying to get a hold of my book buying and galley requesting. I have too many books on my TBR pile; I’m drowning a little here! Gah, I so need a reading vacation right now!

What awesome books did you get this week?signature

    1. That usually happens to me too! And I visit the bookstore a lot so I end up spending frequently. *pout* Not A Drop To Drink has a really interesting premise so I can’t wait to start on it soon! :)

  1. Oh, great covers in this haul! The simplicity of the How to Love cover definitely makes me want to pick it up.

No book haul this week, although I’m reading And The Mountains Echoed right now (Khaled Hosseini, who wrote The Kite Runner). It’s fabulous.

    1. I love the pretty covers too! I just finished How To Love a few days ago and loved it so much! The content lives up to the lovely front cover! ;) I haven’t read anything by Khaled Hosseini yet but I’ve heard great things! Glad to know you’re enjoying the book so far. :)

    1. Nancy, you don’t know how hard I’m blushing right now because you know of the existence of my blog!!!! I think you’re blog is absolutely fabulous!!! And I’m excited to read those two books too. ;) Thanks so much for dropping by!!!

  2. I can’t walk into a bookstore without buying something. That’s some serious control right there! I had to have my sister drag me out of Barnes and Noble a few days ago because I already had Siege and Storm in my hand but was eyeing seven others. There’s so many good books out right now!

    1. I’m quite proud of myself. *flips hair* I did break my rule this week though because of the awesome new releases! I totally agree with you! My *grabby hands* are always tempted to buy all the pretty books!

  3. Hazel! You take really good photos. I’ve been wanting to read How to Love since I saw it last week on Goodreads so now I have to take note of getting a copy. Racing Savannah is also high on my To-Read list since I’ve read Catching Jordan and Stealing Parker and I liked both! And oh, Not a Drop to Drink is really good! I hope you enjoy it like I did.

Kiersten White’s books, though… they have such pretty covers as always. Can’t wait to know what you think of The Chaos of Stars since I’ve been debating whether or not to pick it up! I hope you enjoy your books and happy reading! :)

    1. Thanks, Tara! I think How To Love is already available here in the PH! I hope you get a copy soon- that one was a lovely book! Yes, Miranda’s books are quite enjoyable, are they not? I’m excited about Not A Drop To Drink! I’ll be reading Chaos Of Stars first though! Thanks again! :D

  4. Those look like some lovely books! I keep seeing How to Love getting fab reviews. I recently bought Not a Drop to Drink (along with about five other books) this week. I hope you love all of your new books!

How can you go to the bookstore without buying books. That’s crazy talk.

    1. They are! And How To Love really was fab! It’s outstanding as a contemporary, in my opinion. Thanks, Arial! :) You go in to be store without your wallet and voila- no books bought! Haha!

  5. Oooh, I LOVE HarperCollins books! I’ve read both The Chaos of Stars and Not a Drop to Drink, and I have to say that I enjoyed the latter more. I’m reading How to Love right now and loving it! I still need to read a book by Miranda, but I hope you enjoy! Happy reading, Hazel. :)

    1. Yey, so glad you like Not A Drop To Drink! I’m going to read Chaos Of Stars first though- I’m quite in the mood for it. You should read Miranda’s books! They’re good. :) thanks, Jen! :D

    1. Yey! I finished How To Love already and it was extremely lovely, Leigh! I super hope you like it! School is quite busy for me now too, actually. I’m willing to sacrifice what’s left of my sleep though because there are so many awesome books to read! Thanks, dear! <3

  6. Ooh, you got some really good books this week! Not a Drop to Drink sounds amazing, and I love Miranda’s books! I’m in the same situation with you, though – I’m practically drowning in review books! Why does NetGalley have to make their request buttons so prominent and clickable? >.< Enjoy your books!

    1. Yep, I got some pretty good titles alright. :) Hey, I’m a huge fan of Miranda too! *high five* Ahhh, finally- somebody out there who understands my sentiments! I didn’t think drowning in books could ever be a bad thing but I guess review books are pretty heavy responsibilities, yeah? Thanks, Chri!

  7. Self-control, I definitely wish I had that while going into a bookstore. I always come out with a stack of books! I saw How to Love there, and the hardback is a lot prettier in person. Enjoy all of these, Hazel!

    1. Ha, let’s see how long I stand with this resolve of mine! But ahh books are so tempting! How To love really has such a pretty cover! <3 Thanks, Becca! :D
